About Me
I am a Master prepared Registered Nurse with over 17 years of nursing experience (the majority in the operating room) who is an expert in fibroid management and passionate about empowering women to manage their fibroids in a holistic manner.
I chose the business name: “Shalom: Eagle’s Wings” because I want to empower you to live peacefully with the informed decision you’ve made concerning fibroid management; transcend above that which you cannot control like an eagle; have a safe environment to share your story and receive guidance in a nurturing environment.
I have presented in a professional workshop (SCORNA) and at Women on Vision, on fibroid care (both conventional and non-conventional). I have also drafted a research proposal to help prevent/alleviate fibroids in high risk women. I am also a published author and recipient of the 2011 ORNAC / Johnson & Johnson Drake Thompson Writing Award for my work on conflict resolution- a skill that is beneficial to assist in decreasing stress and coping with various levels of suffering associated with physical/psychological symptoms of fibroids and in the acquisition/request for an appropriate health service in an amicable manner.

1) Private Consulting Service
The consulting service is provided on a one -to-one, face to face, private session. This one hour session will provide:
- A preliminary 1 hour session of pre-assessment and history taking (in the privacy of the client’s home)
- Non-judgemental and undivided focused attention at the private consultation
- Follow-up educational and holistic session as needed
2)Workshops
a) Fibroid Management
Pre and Post operative care regarding education on:
- Medical treatment
- Surgical management
- Holistic and alternative therapies for the care and management of fibroids
b) Conflict Resolution
This interactive workshop is available to both men and women. Special requests can be accommodated as well, i.e. can be provided to only women groups
- Use a proprietary "5A's of Conflict Resolution" mnemonic to empower individuals (or/and family members)to deal with conflict resolution in their personal life, workplace, or/ and academic setting.
3) Provide guidance regarding appropriate recommendations for holistic referrals to the inter-disciplinary team as needed.
